Born Green: Camden Rose

Lead in toys, it's been all over the news. What can you do? Well many parents throw their collective hands in the air and just do nothing. But others turn to safer toys, ones they know are free of plastic and paints. Camden Rose is a company in Ann Arbor, Michigan (Go Blue!) that specializes in beautiful wooden toys. They are the wholesale arm of Palumba, a really great toy store. Simple, beautiful, and able to create lasting keepsakes, the Camden Rose toys take my breath away. My father is a woodworker, and I cherish everything he has made for myself, and my children. Not everyone is so lucky to have a woodworker in the family- Camden Rose is the next best thing!

I seem to get the question a lot these days, "Do you have any ideas for a "green" baby gift? Well, I have given you a lot of ideas in the last 10 days, but if you really want a keepsake, go for a beautiful Camden Rose rattle, bowl or teether.
