Born Green: Laptop Lunch

My readers all know that I love when parents see a problem, and set out to fix it. This again, was the story behind a great product: The Laptop Lunch System! Two mothers, running partners who met in the same mother's group, were upset about the quality of the school lunches their children were being served. They were also interested in reducing the amount of waste created when children take lunch too school. The more they talked about it, the more it became clear that they could create a solution. I have noticed that one of the first lessons in being eco-friendly that children learn is recycling, and how to reduce waste. I have seen lessons for preschool age children that speak about how to sort trash, and reduce, reuse, and recycle (Jack Johnson song anyone?) so I can really see how children would love these lunch solutions!
