Mr. Man has been transitioning from a bottle, to a sippy cup and I think we have found some real winners on this front. He is totally in love with his Think Baby sippy, and asks for it ("baba! BABA!") urgently, from the moment we take him out of his crib in the morning. During the day, it goes everywhere with him- and you can find it close by when he is playing.
Think Baby has created bottles that are free of Bisphenol-A (BPA), PVC Phthalates, Lead and Nitrosamines. So you can be assured that it is safe for your child. Think Baby also gives a portion of their profits back to the non-profit, Healthy Child Healthy World. They also go a step further by packaging their bottles in recycled paper packaging.

I was pretty happy about Mr. Man taking this sippy cup. He had been very reluctant to take anything but his Playtex Nursers, and had refused bottles with silicone nipples, and anything that he had to actively tip in order to get any milk to come out. I was surprised that he would take this- and take to it he certainly did! I was able to get rid of all the baby bottles and he uses this sippy and his Born Free sippy exclusively. I am happy that I can be sure that by using this cup, Mr. Man is not coming into contact with harmful leaching chemicals, and I absolutely LOVE that there is are no valves or "extra parts" to clean or that can attract hidden germs (it is so hard to get those little parts clean!). It has leaked a bit, but I contacted Think Baby about the leaking and they assured me that there is a new spout opening in the works that allows less leakage. I am not sure we have ever had a sippy cup that is 100% leak-free so even 90% is good in my book. Right now I would say that the Think Baby Trainer Cup is at about an 85% leak free stage. Mr. Man has figured out that if he presses the spout against the couch, or mom's sweater, or the dog, etc. it would leave a wet spot. We had to learn when to take it away from him, and he had to learn to be okay with us taking it away from him as well (i.e. not screaming or yelling, "Baba! BABABABABA!").
Think Baby has generously contributed a Trainer Cup to both the First Prize and the Runner Up prize!
On to the rating:
_________________________________________________________________
All Ratings on a Four **** Scale:
Functionality *** and a half: Mr. Man transitioned so well to this trainer cup from a bottle. It was so much easier for him, I believe, because this trainer has a nice soft spout where the hard plastic ones were just too tempting for him to chew and he didn't really understand what he needed to do to get the milk to flow. I love that there are no "extra parts" like valves with this trainer, and of course I like that it is a safe option for my baby. I took a half a point for the leaking, but really it was more the fault of Mr. Man than the cup design.
Cost ***: Yes, there are cheaper sippy cups out there, but I like that this one is safe, they contribute to a worthy cause (Healthy Child Healthy World) and that even the packaging is recycled. I don't mind paying a little more for piece of mind either.
Style ***: Meh, one color, but really, the baby could care less right? I personally like the orange.
Overall Rating ***: Very nice sippy cup that is safe and has no "extra parts". We love it- Mr. Man is happy and safe, and loves his new "Baba!".

I do love the trainer cup as well. L is 6 months old and would not take a bottle, not even the Adiri (which I am really not too pleased with for a couple of reasons), but she takes this and I am excited about never having to do the bottle thing.
What kind of opening do you have on your "spout"? One round or slit? Just curious how you feel about the leaking? Mr. Man just THREW his very hard tonight and a little plastic snapped off of the handles and now they slide all the way around- he doesn't seem to care but I am glad I found the plastic part!
Oh and do share about the Adiri- I would love to hear what you have to say about it! :)
Hello, You have give the trainer cup an interesting review! Now, that really makes me want to try one. Please enter me in your drawing. I do appreciate it.....Cindi

Cindi- Details on how to enter will be posted on March 11th. It will involve emailing like our other large giveaways have. Thanks for your interest!
Oh, I forgot, we have a round opening. I have not noticed too much leaking, but L is only 6 months old and does not really hold it and play with it yet. It does leak when on it's side though.
I hope you can enter me in your draw still.
I finally got my son on a sippy cup! Thanks to Think Baby.
I have not had any leaks. It's a great product!
I love the measurment markings, most sippy cups do not have them (or that detailed).
We only have 1 cup so far, they retail for $13 here. But worth it!
I just wish I could find the conversion kit here in a retail store.
