Car Seats For Babies
make New York taxis have car seats for babies?

We are planning a trip to New York. We will travel with 15 years of age a month. Our concern is security for the baby in a car. currently we are not thinking about renting a car. We were thinking of taking a taxi from the airport to where you are staying with family. Any suggestion is welcome.

As I discovered, no. http://www.nyc.gov/html/tlc/html/passenger/faq_pass.shtml But, I found this …. I had the good fortune to install my "mini-car-seat" in Latin taxis. I think it is actually called "Travel Vest." I bought it again about $ 40 at Baby World on College Ave is equivalent to a rigid plastic board with a five-point restraint on it, which is belt safety belt car. Meets federal safety standards and raises a child of 40 pounds. It installs in about three minutes – probably less when I use it more. It is super comfortable, because it is not pretty-shell reclining chair car seats that have been typical, but for a short trip while she is awake my daughter 18 months old, is fine with him. Also, because it is so small that can fit easily into a handbag. Hope this helps. Meg
