Western Baby Bedding

how to dress my baby to bed when it's cold?! ?
I live in western New York, where he is known for its snowy winters and very cold. It is starting to get cold and it is 35 degrees or less at night, much less the closer we get to winter. I was curious how people saw their children during the colder weather. my room and the baby's room can get quite cold, so worry about him to keep heat at night. I've been putting in a bed with a ONSI and socks under the bed. I also put a hat on him at night. the sleeper seems a bit thin for i wrapped it and sometimes put a blanket over his torso, arms and legs. I worry about him getting drowned in the blankets. I have a sleeping bag, but is that enough? So how does a person each dress their young for the cold? and some advice for a first time mom? the house we live in is old and can get drafty. I try to keep as warm as possible with the bills to get out of control. we have a heater in the room turn on the i between meals.
